What We Do

Oaxaca Youth Empowerment is the principal U.S. funder of Centro de Esperanza Infantil, a non-profit in Oaxaca, Mexico, that supports nearly 600 students by paying education costs, providing meals, offering tutoring and psychological services, and providing cultural enrichment activities.

In addition, through our Mini-Grant program, we support three other community non-profits in Oaxaca – SiKanda (International Solidarity, Kanda); Protección a la Joven de Oaxaca (Protection of the Young Women of Oaxaca); Centro de Aprendizaje (The Oaxaca Learning Center). Each addresses social and financial obstacles to education and childhood wellbeing.
